Generic
Device with 2 cores having Global breakpoint enabled,
CPU1 running and CPU2 is halted on a Breakpoint.
Now running CPU2 makes CPU1 to Halt!
With CPU2 continuing to be in running state.
Run CPU1 and subsequently if CPU2 is halted manually or via a BP, CPU1 will sync halt since GBP are enabled for these 2 cores.
The GBP Halt works, but the observed behavior at
is because of the following
- When CPU2 is told to run from a BP, the debugger is issuing a step and a run to handle the breakpoint
- The initial step is effectively a halt after the step for the cross triggering
- This halt before CPU2 goes into a full Running, causes CPU1 to halt due to GBP enabled
Observed on F29.
This behavior is dependent on Architecture and/or BP type
