The exception happens when clicking on the error itself and then clicking "suppress". This will setup a condition so that many future operations won't work or will lead to an exception. Not clicking on "suppress" will allow the user to successfully suppress the message.

In reality, there is an earlier exception, but the exception isn't reported in the UI. However, it leaves SysConfig in a bad state such that impacts anything going forward that affects the selection.
