Files linked to a project do not appear to be associated with the project in the Problems view. They appear separate. This can cause confusion. One example is if the linked files are excluded from the project build and the project is rebuilt, any existing errors/messages in the Problems view for that file are not cleared and the messages for it in the Problems view persists.
