eDP to HDMI adaptors are failing. No error is seen during init, but nothing is displayed on the screen when using it

The ethfw is turned off as needed here, but the issue still remains across all SoC's.

This could be a sysfw delta from 8.6 to 9.0, as this was working in 8.6
