The customer builds using CMake. One of the internal steps that occurs is the automatic generation of response files. Response files are intermediate text files that contain part of the input given to toolchain components like the linker or archiver. They contain the names of files and build options. As presently implemented, the tools which generate response files do not quote the file names. If any directory name or file name contains a dash "-" character, this causes the linker or archiver to fail.
