"AST is null" error when "Format source code" option is enabled and trying to edit and save a *.asm or *.cmd file

      If the setting "Format source code" option is enabled under "C/C++ -> Editor -> Save Actions" properties, any attempt to save a *.asm or *.cmd file will resule in an "AST is null" error.
